Frequently asked questions
My boiler has stopped working, what should I check first?
Check the boiler has power, the pressure gauge reads between 1 and 1.5 bar, the thermostat is calling for heat and your gas supply is on. If it still won't fire up, make an enquiry and a local engineer will be in touch. Never remove the boiler casing yourself.
How often should my boiler be serviced?
Once a year. An annual service keeps your boiler safe and efficient and is usually required to keep the manufacturer's warranty valid. Read our boiler servicing guide.
Are your heating engineers Gas Safe registered?
Any job involving gas is only passed to engineers on the Gas Safe Register. You can check an engineer's ID card number on the Gas Safe Register website before work starts.
Can you quote for a new boiler?
Yes. Choose “New boiler quote” in our enquiry form and a local installer will arrange a free survey and quotation.
I smell gas, what should I do?
Leave the property, don't use electrical switches or naked flames and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. Once it is safe, we can help arrange repairs.
